[SOLVED] How do you get into a terminal in Budgie?

Hello everyone new install again and I followed the ARCH Wiki guide for Budgie installation -- seemed to work fine as I am now in the desktop but because it's a BRAND new installation there is zero apps installed, and more troubling, I cannot open a terminal !

What a bizarre desktop environment, there is no way to open the terminal with mouse clicks only that I have found so far!

Thanks!

On Cinnamon, XFCE, and KDE I've used CTRL-ALT-T to get a terminal; never tried that on Budgie.

That didn't work for me unfortunately, but after doing some research, it appears that Budgie doesn't install ANY extra packs - not even a terminal!

I had to install a package called 'tilix' and now it's all working as intended

Thanks for your reply!

Re: [SOLVED] How do you get into a terminal in Budgie?

Is this still an issue given that https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 7#p2118887 sounds as if you're using an interactive shell?

What a bizarre desktop environment

Well, yes.
Since it looks like yagn (yet another gnome derivate), you might be looking for https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x8 … -terminal/

Edit: fuck.
