Is commenting the pacman.conf safe?

It's not "safe", but if you do it correctly, the repo will no longer be used.
If you do it incorrectly, pacman will throw errors at you
Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.

Change your mirror.

archlinuxfr.db isn't a mirror - the repo hosted some packages, esp. yaourt
@dkjkds, that doesn't answer my question.
You *obviously* didn't add archlinuxfr yourself, everybody here knows that you're not using archlinux.
Edit your pacman.conf and remove the archlinuxfr repo. It is dead, rotten and has already stopped smelling.
