[Solved]VSS Code - diff plugins downloads depending on a distro/repo

I run Arch on a desktop and an Artix on a virtual machine.

VSS code displays different downloads for extensions depending on a distro/repository? why is that? how do we change the behavior?

You're using the FOSS version of code on Arch that has removed Microsoft telemetry and thus forfeited access to the Microsoft store and the Microsoft version in the other.
