I have a ThinkPad, with arch linux nm-connection-editor and KDE DE, I cannot connect to a WPA2 enterprise network. But with kali live iso, I can connect to the network(also added with nm-connection-editor). Is there something I'm missing causing it to not work?

https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/78770? If not please provide more details about the configuration and also a log containing the failure under Archlinux and one for success under Kali.

Thank you for the info. Will try again tomorrow with downgraded openssl. In case it isn't the issue, where/how can I check the log?

dmesg or journalctl?

journalctl. The issue will almost certainly be in userspace and it also includes kernel messages shown in dmesg.
