[SOLVED] VM Installation Boot Hanging and Spinning CPU

I've followed the tutorial for installing arch within a VM managed by qemu, I used grub to configure a efi filesystem, didn't really do much out of the ordinary. Upon reaching the end of the tutorial I rebooted the VM, but now whenever I run qemu with that vm file it hangs with "Booting from Hard Disk...". Interestingly it spins a CPU core while doing this, but I've left it for 15 minutes, so whatever its trying to do it doesn't seem to be making progress. I figured I could try to trouble shoot this by including the arch iso file when rebooting with qemu to get back into the live installation, but that hangs in the same manner. So I'm not really sure what else to try at this point.

Edit:
Was trying to configure/run UEFI without qemu being configured to use it, needed to pass `--bios /usr/share/ovmf/OVMF.fd` to it (already had ovmf installed). Also for booting into the live installation I needed to list the iso using -drive instead of -cdrom and place it before the system file -drive arg
