Small misinformation on https://archlinux.org/download/

"The image can be burned to a CD"
Thats not true you need at least Single Layer DVD for that

"or be directly written to a USB flash drive."
thats true but with at least 1GB of storage needed
USB Pens are like 512 1024 2048 and so on in size so 1024m is minimum

also please note that new user wants fast booting so MB/per sec is a consideration when buying usb pen to boot arch install image

Re: Small misinformation on https://archlinux.org/download/

The largest capacity a CD can have is 900 MiB and AFAIK such discs were still sold a few years back. So far no ISO has exceeded 900 MiB, but if ever happens, archiso#144 explains what changes would need to be made.
While it can be rightfully claimed that such discs are not very common, the same could be said about the coaster form factor in general. tongue

As for the USB flash drive size recommendation, the downloads page lists the ISO size, so it's up to each user to do the math.

For reference, the text in https://archlinux.org/download/ comes from https://github.com/archlinux/archweb/bl … nload.html. If you want to change it, feel free to create a pull request in https://github.com/archlinux/archweb.
