KDE on wayland dies when switching with Displayport KVM switch

I'm trying to use KDE on Wayland (because x has other issues), however, every time I switch back my Displayport KVM switch, KDE is messed up. Panels are gone, wallpaper is sometimes gone, sometimes a mess of colored pixels.
If I switch back before KDE locks, I can get everything back to normal with

kquitapp5 plasmashell && kstart5 plasmashell

If it has been longer and KDE locked the screen my only chance I found is to switch to tty2 and reboot from there.

Here's a journal log where I switched to a different KVM port and 10 seconds later switched back:

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. Are there other logs I could search for? Anything I can do to fix this?

Re: KDE on wayland dies when switching with Displayport KVM switch

Test plasma 6 by enabling the testing repos and kde-unstable. If you don't want to do that wait a month for that to get released.

Problem is indeed solved on plasma 6 for me, thanks for the suggestion!
