I spent hours searching the web for a similar post that talks about the same problem I have with Single GPU Passthrough KVM's not starting when "nvidia-drm.modeset=1" is enabled. I have worked with KVMs for years without having a single problem. But since Wayland and other components need this setting, it becomes important for me to finally find a solution for this bug. I have heard that it is related to the DRM module that refuses to stop, but there is no definitive solution yet.
EDIT: Okay, for some reason i always manage to fix a bug right after posting a question about it online. The reason why it didn't work is the hook i used for disconnecting my GPU from my current session is just too old and had missing arguments for actually modprobe -r all of nvidias drm stuff. I've now switched to this Single GPU Passthrough Script https://github.com/ilayna/Single-GPU-pa … amd-nvidia and now i can finally use VM's with NVIDIA DRM!
