[CLOSED] short 5 second lockups with pipewire

hello all,

happy (start of) weekend,

I recently switch from pulse/jack to pipewire on my desktop to try and simplify things. followed the wiki on installing and setting up pipewire. I have 2 active audio interfaces: 1) onboard audio and 2) scarlet 2i2 audio interface in my recording booth.

everything appears to be working "ok" except I get random ~5 second system freezes since switching over to pipewire. I don't see anything strange in dmesg when this happens.

I have a thinkpad with pipepwire installed (never had pulse on it), and have never noticed this freezing behavior.

I'm not sure what to look at, does anyone have any ideas?

EDIT:
XFCE
MPV player for videos
rhythmbox for mp3 playback
ardour for audio recording

Re: [CLOSED] short 5 second lockups with pipewire

well, it appears it's not pipewire. I reverted back to pulse and jack, and my sound system is still mucked up. closing this post and creating a new one.
