Konqueror autorefresh

hi,
is there any way to turn autorefresh in konqueror/file manager?
when changing media, I need to press F5 to refresh FM content, I would prefer if this would be done automatically.

Re: Konqueror autorefresh

i'm not sure if konqueror needs or supports fam, but you might try to run the fam daemon.
install fam and run

/etc/rc.d/fam start

as root.
if that works, you might want to put "fam" into the DAEMONS array in your rc.conf

Re: Konqueror autorefresh

it looks like konqueror autorefresh plugin is gone (should be in kdeaddons-extras) configurable:

Konqueror -> Settings->Configure Extensions, select "Tools" tab ->enable the "Auto Refresh Plugin".
Next
Konqueror ->Tools menu ->Auto Refresh (set time)

Re: Konqueror autorefresh

As far as I am aware, the autorefresh extension is only for the web browsing part of konqueror, not the file management.  I'm saying this, because it appears when I'm on google, but not when I'm in /home/chris/.
