So, here's the deal. ![]()
I just got a new laptop and installed Arch with the Gnome desktop environment. I'm really enjoying it btw. The problem is, once I installed my graphic drivers (Nvidia), wayland became unavailable and my computer is running x11. Which is a problem for me because I took a liking to the 3-fingers gestures to use gnome and from what I read, it doesn't work on x11. I did some digging but the only clear instructions I've found are for people using grub. I got systemd here.
I'd need some guidance on this. I'm currently on my learning phase when it comes to Arch so I'm not even sure what exactly I should be doing to fix this. Unfortunately, my google-fu kind of failed me on that one.
Looking forward for an answer! Thanks in advance for your time.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GDM#Wa … DIA_driver -- enabling early KMS is an absolute must, the rest can be disabled if necessary by applying that udev override (you should generally try to fullfill and fix the relevant conditions but that can be a bit specific to set up)
