On pacman -Syu I have two problems I get a database error and a segfault.
db_read: error: /var/lib/pacman/local/gnome-doc-utils-0.6.0-1/depends: File too large

Segmentation fault
I tried to remove this file and then pacman -Syf gnome-doc-utils, but i receive this error.
[root@ktop bgodea]# rm /var/lib/pacman/local/gnome-doc-utils-0.6.0-1/depends
rm: remove write-protected regular file `/var/lib/pacman/local/gnome-doc-utils-0.6.0-1 /depends'? y
rm: cannot remove `/var/lib/pacman/local/gnome-doc-utils-0.6.0-1/depends': Operation n ot permitted
If anybody could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

sometimes root denied access to files while root indicates a filesytem problem. Try remounting your root partiion as read-only or use a rescue disk to perform a filesystem check.

does "rm -rf /var/lib/pacman/local/gnome-doc-utils-0.6.0-1" work?
Offline
Nope .
The rm -rf /var/lib/pacman/local/gnome-doc-utils-0.6.0-1 gives the same error. I am working on getting a rescue cd to do a filesystem check.

I tried a resuce cd and everying thing turned out okay after running e2fsck -cf, so i'm still stuck.
Offline
Try removing those files in a rescue CD environment.

Just curious if you ever corrected this?
I have seen errors like that and a 'df -h' usually pointed out the problem
