No sound - Only dummy output - pipewire

No sound is coming out from front panel headphones, I only use these. Tried several suggestions for ALC cards but nothing worked so far. Sound worked flawlessly on windows.

Bit too much "generic" for my tastes. Did you mess with alsa module config in modprobe?

Can you post

sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
sudo dmesg | grep snd

Since the card is detected but simply no profile enabled, can you force one?

pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.pci-0000_27_00.6 output:analog-stereo+input:analog-stereo

if that works and gives you an output that works you can add a relevant pactl invocation to the context setting in your pipewire-pulse.conf

Since the card is detected but simply no profile enabled, can you force one?

pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.pci-0000_27_00.6 output:analog-stereo+input:analog-stereo

if that works and gives you an output that works you can add a relevant pactl invocation to the context setting in your pipewire-pulse.conf

Wow, thanks, this works somewhat. By somewhat I mean I can see line out and headphone - both of them showing up as unplugged though headphone is plugged - in pavucontrol. I can hear the default click noise of gnome when I turn the volume up or down. But no audio from Youtube. Gnome settings sound section shows no output device now.

How and can you post that config file assuming it's still present? generally you don't want or need to do that when using something like pipewire is the goal and it's very easy to create a config that breaks more than it fixes if you're not totally aware of the peculiarities of sound modules in the kernel. 

Now that you have a sink, what does an updated "pactl list sinks" "pactl list sink-inputs" during firefox playback look like?

I also seem to not have any microphones.

However , I noticed that when reconnecting my paired bluetooth headphones my pactl output changes. There is no more dummy and audio works, but only in the headphones. It still doesn't behave as normal, because it doesn't allow other devices to take them over without manually terminating the bluetooth connection.

(This output of pactl after connecting the bluetooth headphones, nothing else. This looks like the normal output I had previously from what I recall)

Not sure if this provides any useful info, I just found that this hasn't been mentioned yet and I wouldn't expect this to happen.
