error: file '/boot/vmlinuz-linux' not found (grub rescue)

i was following a tutorial on fixing grub and got an error telling me that the "vmlinuz" file was missing from my /boot directory. is there a way for me to recover its contents

yes, you can easily recover them, those are you kernel files missing.
was that you initial problem (the reason you watched a tutorial)? which tutorial?

just boot the arch ISO, mount your root and efi directory, arch-chroot and reinstall the kernel.

Why I run Arch? To "BTW I run Arch" the guy one grade younger.
And to let my siblings and cousins laugh at Arsch Linux...
