[SOLVED] Can't login using 2FA in any websites

First time posting here and please welcome correct me if I'm doing anything wrong.

Whatever browser I'm using, (firefox and google-chrome), both latest versions from:

$ pacman -S firefox

As title describes, I'm not able to login in any website that requires 2FA.

uname info: Linux 6.5.5-1-MANJARO #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Sat Sep 23 12:48:15 UTC 2023 x86_64 GNU/Linux
firefox --ful-version: Mozilla Firefox 119.0 20231023160744 20231023160744

Steps to reproduce:

* open browser
   - $ firefox
   - $ firefox --safe-mode

* opens a website that requires 2FA, ones used:
   - Github
   - Higlobe
   - Rippling

* enter user/pw
* enter OTP manually or auto complete with 1Password extension

Expected result: Login successfully

Encountered result: Can't login in any of those (:S)

PS: I've disabled extension, used google-chrome without extensions, safe mode, incognito mode.
I was about to report it on bugzilla but it's not a browser issue.

Re: [SOLVED] Can't login using 2FA in any websites

  • Please do not [BUG] in your title, only use [SOLVED] as a marker when your issue is resolved; please update the title by clicking "Edit" under your first post.

  • While I don't think your BIOS info is relevant, in any case, do not screen-cap text output, post the actual output in code tags

  • Install firefox from the supported [extra] repository and see if you can replicate the problem there. The AUR is not supported.

  • Provide actual error messages, not interpreted statements such as "Can't login"

Just a hunch, post the output of timedatectl

Edit: Also, do not post pictures of text.  Post the text.
