How do I configure Beagle?

I can see Beagle 0.2.13 in K Menu > Utilities > Search.
However, no matter what I set in Search > Preferences > Indexing it just doesn't work.  It won't find xorg.conf or any other file I search for.
Please can someone tell me how I can configure it so that it works?

I'm getting frustrated that I can't find .conkyrc  :cry:

You can also use locate or find, if you get that frustrated.

use kerry, it's a nice kde beagle frontend. i think i remember you can tune beagle quite efficiently using kerry.

i think beagle indexes you home directory, because that's basically what it was meant for. having beagle scanning indexing your whole computer would probably make it a major system hog.
