Kde plasma panel freezing / not responding

I am using the KDE Plasma (NVIDIA Wayland) desktop environment. My panel constantly freezes whenever I try to perform daily tasks on my DE. I run the command "killall plasmashell && kstart plasmashell" every time this problem occurs. It works for a while, but I face the same problem again after 10 minutes or so. Does anyone know why is this happening ?

I think this is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469016
Fixed in Plasma 6.
