Background: I've been using arch linux for a good while now, with hyprland for productivity and kde plasma for gaming. This issue first started last week, when I launched CS2 from Steam, it froze on the valve splash screen, then a few seconds later, my primary monitor disconnected. Up until then, I had been able to play the game perfectly fine. It seemed very abrupt, because I played earlier that same day, and I didn't reboot nor do any system update in between.
Extra info: Steam was installed through pacman. I've installed multiple different X11 DE's to test this issue, and it's been replicated on every single one (GNOME, Plasma, xfce, etc..). The game launches and runs on any Wayland DE/WM I tried it on (Hyprland, GNOME on wayland).
What I've Tried: Rebooting, Reinstalling xorg, reinstalling the DE's I was using, Reinstalling Steam, Full system upgrade. None of these so far have solved the issue.
Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated! I can post additional info if needed as well.

Update: this is an issue caused by a bug in proprietary nvidia drivers, and should be fixed by version 545.29.03
