After a motherboard BIOS update of the Asus TUF Gaming X670E-Plus Wifi, booting Arch Linux results in an instant black screen.
I have found a clue to the possible cause including a workaround, which I want to share to help others.
I am guessing that the BIOS feature "BAR resize support" broke (bug?), which is enabled by default (= 'Load optimized defaults').
Possibly this issue only appears with a specific kernel version (6.5.9) and a specific graphics card (AMD RX580).
To workaround the issue, the BAR resize support setting has to be changed to "Disabled".

If anybody knows a permanent solution where BAR support can be re-enabled without downgrading the BIOS, then I am all ears.
