file server with history?

hello, i'm setting up a file server at work.
so far, it's just a simple samba server.  getting it on the 2003 ADS was a royal PITA tho, but finally it works and i can use winbind to do all the authentication stuff.

anyways, i was wondering if it was possible to have some kinda of thing that logs all writes (the file and by whome) to the shared directory?
