Sorry if there is already a post, i searched through like 4 pages and did not see anything that matched (which was painful with a invisible mouse)
I installed the proprietary nvidia drivers, following the instructions, i had some issues where i had not enabled drm or something like that, but now i cannot see my mouse cursor.
(Also i did select them in profile when i ran archinstall but it did not seem to stick, so i dont know if i did something wrong there either)
It still works like a mouse, i can see it highlighting things but i just cant see the cursor
I did some googling and they suggested turning off hardware cursors so i added env = WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS, 1 to my hyprland.conf file (I also tried =1 at the end as well as that was also mentioned, neither changed anything)
I also tried echo $WLR_NO_HARDWARE_CURSORS but there was no output (i was not sure if there was supposed to be or not, but i think there should be)
I have been testing hyprland on a laptop for a few weeks to see if i could get my head around it and it all seemed fairly reasonable and it all made a certain amount of sense to me, but it had intel graphics so i have not messed with nvidia before installing a few hours ago
Any advice you can give me for troubleshooting? I am happy to provide outputs etc, but bear with me as im not used to kb only
Thanks
Edit: Seems that the fix was to leave the system off for 18 hours or so and it fixed itself
Confirmed that I am using the nvidia drivers not nouveau
