[SOLVED] Timed out while waiting for device on boot

I have just installed Arch, and have yet to install a desktop environment.
On booting up, it says:

[ TIME ] Timed out waiting for device /dev/disk/by-uuid/c611ed6c-6c12-4ea5-832b-ec17a3cc20d9.
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for File System Check on /dev/disk/by-uuid/c611ed6c-6c12-4ea5-832b-ec17a3cc20d9.
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for /boot/efi.
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for Local File Systems.

It then puts me into emergency mode, which gives me the option of Control-D to continue, or to input my root password to fix things myself. On pressing Control-D, it pauses for about 30 seconds before putting me back into the emergency console. If I input exit it does the same thing. I've seen a similar issue a few times on the forums, but each time it was at least temporarily solved by doing one of those. I've done my best to look around the arch wiki and try to find the solution myself, but it doesn't seem to be out there.

Thank you, I hope I'm not asking a question with an obvious solution.

From the install iso, post the output of

lsblk -f

and /mnt/etc/fstab

Re: [SOLVED] Timed out while waiting for device on boot

lsblk -f:

NAME FSTYPE FSVER LABEL UUID
loop0 squashfs 4.0
sda iso9660 Joliet Extension ARCH_202311 2023-11-01-06-55-57-00
    sda1 iso9660 Joliet Extension ARCH_202311 2023-11-01-06-55-57-00
    sda2 vfat FAT16 ARCHISO_EFI 6BD4-6502
nvme0n1
    nvme0n1p1 vfat FAT32 BOE4-6C3C
    nvme0n1p2 ext4 1.0 22c3e2fc-e515-4082-ac59-b1c01217710b

Upon requesting /mnt/etc/fstab it said that there was no such directory so I may have configured fstab incorrectly?

Re: [SOLVED] Timed out while waiting for device on boot

Please use [code][/code] tags. Edit your post in this regard.

The implication was to, like during the installation, mount nvme0n1p2 there
There's obviously no disk w/ the UUID c611ed6c-6c12-4ea5-832b-ec17a3cc20d9, so if you have such entry in your fstab, that's gonna be a problem.

You didn't waste anything, but if you struggle w/ your fstab, we'll still need to see that.

Re: [SOLVED] Timed out while waiting for device on boot

I got it working properly. It turned out that the fstab had the wrong UUID somehow, so I changed it to the correct one and had no issues after that. Thank you for the help.

Re: [SOLVED] Timed out while waiting for device on boot

How do I mark the topic as solved?

Mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
