Orbiter Space Flight Simulator 2016 on Archlinux

Hi all!

You probably know that the sources of Orbiter Space Flight Simulator 2016 were opened back in 2021.

So, now work is underway to port this simulator to Linux. And there are already some results.
I made a PKGBUILD but it's not built yet

The package was not built due to the compiler flag "-Werror=format-security"
By the way, because of this flag, I can’t build many projects, so I turned it off in my mekepkg.conf.
But the game is now successfully building and we are now working on its installation.

Add -Werror=format-security

Turn on format string warnings and treat them as errors. This catches a set of
readily exploitable bugs. This can occasionally result in compilation errors,
but this should be minimal as it is widely used by other distributions.

You may want to report those build failures to their upstreams.

Thank you. I know about this. I have written to project developers about this many times.
They all said they didn't support the "-Werror=format-security" feature and suggested turning it off.
Now I have about 5-7 projects in the AUR that do not build because of this error.

Glad to see you did file reports.

I do have some interest in flight/space flight  and my logitech extreme 3d pro joystick has been gathering dust for years. Orbiter looks interesting.
Please let me know when you got it building.
