I just installed a copy of arch linux on my laptop and wanted to install a window manager. I found a video about i3 and decided to install it, so naturally i looked up a tutorial on how to install it. The tutorial had me install a web browser(firefox), dmenu, nitrogen, a terminal (terminator), lightdm as well as enable it, and i3. However a problem arose when I rebooted. When i put in my login, the message 'Failed to start session' appeared at the bottom of the window and then nothing happened. I tried everything I could possibly think of trying (rebooting) but that didn't fix it and I don't know where to go from here. Can anyone help?

The tutorial had
a lot of nonsense in it.
You wanted to have read
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Installation_guide
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/I3
Then probably look into the lightdm log (under /var/log/) and ~/.xsession-errors
