XFCE - Thunar won't mount USB flash drive

So, my whole life I used KDE because Gnome is just too bloated and too ugly, but all the time I've heard people talking about XFCE and how fast and stable it is. Then I decided to install Arch with XFCE on an old laptop and boy am I screwed! Nothing works out of the box in XFCE, so I had to spend days and days trying to fix everything, from the sound card to the network wireless adapter. What is uncanny to me is that everything works flawlessly on KDE without me having to go through all this trouble. After days of struggling, I was able to correct every single bug except this one about Thunar refusing to mount anything that is connected through USB. I can mount things using the terminal, but if I try to use the GUI. I receive the "failed to mount" bug no matter what. Is Thunar just fucked up to the point that it doesn't work properly no matter what? I tried everything, activating it through GUI on settins, intalling and reinstalling Udisks2, Udevil, Udiskie, liblockdev, tried creating an xinitrc file at my home folder and put a lot of stuff there, but nothing seems to work. I decided to try asking for help here before putting KDE on this old machine too since Dolphin works just fine.

I suspect "trying to fix everything, from the sound card to the network wireless adapter" has nothing to do with xfce at all…
