Android Studio is not launching.

After installing Android Studio from the AUR and trying to launch it, the program hangs at the splash screen and never proceeds further. I've checked my java configuration and everything seems fine. Even went ahead and tried https://developer.android.com/studio/known-issues.
I'd appreciate your help.
