xfce4-svn and conky problem

i have xfce4 set to minimize applications to the desktop, but when i click the icon to maximize something, conky disappears. it's still running, but not visible. i have to kill and restart it.

this just started happening recently, and i don't remember making any changes in anything before it started. is anyone else noticing this behavior? :?:

>> testing around a little, i now notice that it actually disappears whenever i even just left-click the desktop. i had changed one configuration option, on_bottom yes, commenting it out because on starting it gives the error:

Conky: /home/sero/.conkyrc: 24: no such configuration: 'on_bottom'

but i changed it back and no difference. but it seems to be more an xfce4 desktop manager thing than a conky thing. maybe next i'll make a test account and try with a "virgin" configuration of xfce4.

Re: xfce4-svn and conky problem

"own_window_type normal" seems to have fixed it. i had that option set to desktop and never had a problem before. something else somewhere must have started conflicting with desktop. thanks!
