compiz 0.8.18 doesn't start after the latest archlinux-update

Hello,
since the latest update (Linux al 6.6.2-arch1-1) compiz 0.8.18 does not start anymore. I get the following error message:

compiz --replace ccp
Entity: line 1: parser error : Extra content at the end of the document
name="force_independent_output_painting" type="bool"/></screen></core></compiz>
                                                                               ^
compiz (core) - Warn: Unable to parse XML metadata

I tried to remove the "force_independent_output_painting" block in /usr/share/compiz/core.xml, but I still get the same error message. Who can help me track down the relevant xml file.

Downgrade to the previous version of libxml. The new version broke compiz-core. There is already update on compiz gitlab for the new libxml.

the downgrade of libxml2 has helped for now. Can you possibly specify the libxml update in compiz gitlab?

Is the issue still present in  libxml2-2.12.1-1 currently in core-testing?  If not is there an upstream bug report for the issue?
