I need MSN so I can get online to convince my friends to switch to jabber.
It was working fine, but I upgraded gaim to 0.76 yesterday. Now I'm getting this error when I try to log into MSN:
SSL support is needed for MSN. Please install a supported SSL library. See http://gaim.sf.net/faq-ssl.php for more information.
I checked the page, but can't figure out which Arch package I need to update. I've tried updating some at random -- openssl openssh mozilla-firefox gnutls and mozilla-common. Maybe I need to update firebird?
I have one friend that says it just started working after a while. I'm assuming he'd done an pacman -Su and rebooted or something; I need to know which package, because at this point, an upgrade would take a few days.
Thanks,
Dusty

try using a msn-transport for the Jabber Network
btw, in XMPP [jabber] you can use transports from any server you like, without having to register to that server

That might work, but wouldn't gaim still need to deal the SSL through Jabber?
And... how set it up? time to hit the docs I suppose.
