Install bootloader during new install

I am in the process of installing ArchLinux on a system that is already running Fedora 39. I am ready to install the bootloader but am a little nervous about wiping out my ability to still boot into Fedora.

Fedora uses an EFI System Partition (256MB). I understand that multiple distros can use the same one. Do I need to do anything special to protect it or can I just follow the install scripts as per the installation/bootload/grub pages?

Re: Install bootloader during new install

If you are using grub checkout https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GRUB#GNU/Linux

TLDR: you can configure grub to boot into both fedora and arch.

Re: Install bootloader during new install

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure that if I continued installation with the boot process that I wouldn't wipe out my Fedora boot. I have done that a few times in the past, including recently when Ubuntu took over and I had to rescue Fedora.

The boot process is something I am still weak on, and I guess I should study up so can can grok it. It looks like the Arch Wiki has much better info than most other sources, on booting and many other topics.

Thanks for the info.
