Use the archives to upgrade in stages, perhaps?

Re: [RESOLVED] Pacman update failures after a few months offline

There's simply a bunch of dead and aur packages that haven't been updated (in ages) lost their dependecies w/ the KDE/Qt6 transition (because those dependecies have been renamed to *5)
Remove the packages w/ unresolvable dependies from the last block; for the ones that actually (still) exist in the AUR, you can re-install them afterwards. The rest is bitrot on your HDD.

Use the archives to upgrade in stages, perhaps?

won't help, as the errros are caused by packages that have been dropped from repos.

Archlinux is currently doing preparations to ease the transfer from KDE5 to KDE6. Part of that process is to drop some programs (that won't be ported to KDE6 by upstream) from repos .

libkipi is one of those programs. Remove libkipi and everything that depends on it, then try updating again.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)

I ended up doing that and removing a few other packages, and it worked. Thank you very much!

Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
