Hi,
I'm currently running xfce4 as a desktop environment, but for some reason the second monitor does not show.
xrandr only shows 1 monitor, and settings>display does the same.
Both monitors work on other OS's, and if I change the HDMI port, they both work, but not simultaneously.
Any suggestions for what might be the issue?

Graphics card(s)? Generally if xrandr only shows 1 then there's nothing xfce can do. Post your xorg log and
xrandr -q
lspci -kOffline
Thanks for answering.
Nothing interesting in xorg as far as I can see.

Who said anything about "tail", post the log.

Kernel modules: nouveauNothing's driving your GPU, so you installed nvidia-utils which blacklists nouveau but no kernel module (for the running kernel) and are most likely down w/ the vesa or fbdev drivers.

I edited /usr/lib/modprobe.d/nvidia-utils.conf and commented out the blacklisting of nouveau
Then I added the nouveau module into /etc/mkinitcpio.conf
Both monitors now work , thanks for the help ![]()

Using nouveau on a Turing chip is maybe less than a great idea and you could have just uninstalled the nvidia drivers…

Oh... I'll keep an eye out for eventual problems that might arise. And I explicitly removed the nvidia drivers, does not seem like there is a need for them on this setup. Hopefully everything works.
