steam and other games crashing [SOLVED]

Steam and some other games are  crashing due to some error with icu package, even tho the file exists. 

libGL error: MESA-LOADER: failed to open radeonsi: libicuuc.so.73: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64 (search paths /usr/lib32/dri, suffix _dri)

system is fully updated, and as i can libcuuc files also exists

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

What games are crashing? Mesa 23.2 has caused issues for a few people. Looking at mesa issues #10000 and up… lords of the fallen is/was causing my issues but there were a bunch of games that were having problems.

FWIW remove the export for AMD_VULKAN_ICD=RADV and remove amdvlk while you're at it.

What do you get from 

pacman -Qkk icu lib32-icu

are you using steam-native-runtime or steam-runtime and what happens if you switch and vice versa? (You probably want to install steam-native-runtime even if you use steam-runtime, it picks up a bunch of deps that can be useful for general steam running)

What games are crashing? Mesa 23.2 has caused issues for a few people. Looking at mesa issues #10000 and up… lords of the fallen is/was causing my issues but there were a bunch of games that were having problems.


steam isnt running at all, running some games via wine are throwing same error . one ive installed is default steam package

What do you get from 

pacman -Qkk icu lib32-icu

are you using steam-native-runtime or steam-runtime and what happens if you switch and vice versa? (You probably want to install steam-native-runtime even if you use steam-runtime, it picks up a bunch of deps that can be useful for general steam running)

thanks, this worked, some files in lib32-icu package were corrupted. i did check for icu but not this one
