Hey all,
I have a problem and I've been trying to fix it for a few days.
I've been using arch for a few days and everything's okay for now, except that I can't enable VRR.
I have a FreeSync capable main monitor but i can't enable VRR in plasma setting's mainly, the option just isn't there. It used to work in windows, I booted a Nobara live iso with plasma and it worked, the VRR toggle was there and it worked.

I've tried a lot of things that I can't even remember but a saw somewhere the command "kscreen-doctor --outputs" which outputs this:

And apparently Arch detects my main monitor (DisplayPort-1) as Vrr incapable (look at the end of line 2 above).
I don't understand why as Nobara does detect it right and just works.
Does somebody know what could be wrong?
Thanks in advance!

X or wayland ?
Have you looked at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Variab … own_issues ?
Welcome to archlinux forums
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thanks Lone_Wolf!
For such a simple question.
I thought that I was using wayland as I installed it. But thanks to you I realized that I was using X because of my greeter.
So I installed sddm-git and now I am actually using wayland and everything works.
Thanks you so much!

Your greeter does typically not dictate your session display server.
For AMDGPU on X11 see https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Variab … _on_AMDGPU
