Hi!
I'm looking for some help or howto to set up skim. I'm running KDE on an regular Archlinux Desktop Computer with the regular locale settings set to de_DE.utf8. Now sometimes I need to switch the input Method to certain other languages (Chinese or Japanese or some other things) in order to do some work for my Professor. That's how I found scim and the KDE module skim. I have the latest version running with every package up to date, but my problem is, that I can't switch the input method using skim. I haven't found anything that could help me or at least a tutorial showing me how to set everything up straight. So maybe somebody here can help me. I wanted to change the input methods by clicking on the skim symbol in the taskbar but whenever I do that just s small empty field appears with no possibility to change anything.
So is there anybody that knows how to set up skim within KDE or is there anybody aware of any tutorial for it? I was also on the official website trying to do what they said, but it still didn't work.
Thanks!

I had skim with chinese running for some time and also problems to get it working...
If i remember correctly, you have to
-set the system locale to the language you want to use with skim
-install the appropiate language-pack for kde
Sorry, i dont know any more info, but the skim homepage was very helpful for me...
