systemctl suspend, systemctl hibernate, and the xfce panel options, all work properly.
However, if I enable the lock screen (in xfce4-screensaver), then, regardless of if "Enable lock screen on system sleep" is checked or not, if I do systemctl suspend, the computer hangs. systemctl hibernate also just takes it to the lock screen, doesn't actually hibernate.
Locking the screen works when I am not suspending or hibernating.
latest packages of everything. I haven't touched any systemd power configuration.
I have however touched the xfce4-power-manager settings. I have set all of the timeouts to never, and made it so the only thing it does automatically or after a timeout is "switch off display" when lid is closed. I explicitly call suspend/hibernate every time.
I also don't use a display manager like sddm or gdm or whatever, I call startx. Does that affect it somehow?
