Logs are normal. Also you don't require sudo for the bluetoothctl command.
The instructions are listed in the wiki, and it seems you haven't yet scanned, paired, trusted and connected the device.
Please see the relevant instructions here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/bluetooth#Pairing

I have read the wiki section on BT. I have loaded Bluez and Bluez-utils. I have loaded the module btusb started and enabled the service. However, Bluedevil and bluetoothctl show no controller available.
What am I missing?

Can you post whatever error message bluetoothctl is giving you?
An probably at this point post the output of:
$ journctl -eu bluetooth.service

Problem solved. I found that an orphaned module is needed to enable bluez to function properly. Once that was installed everything else fell into place.
Just in case anyone else has similar hardware, the module is rtbth. It is to be found on Github.
