Touchscreen dropdowns in Gnome Settings makes buttons stop working

This is kind of a weird issue. Im not sure If I am posting in the right place as I assume this is a bug.

My touchscreen on my ROG Flow x13 works pretty flawlessly aside from this one issue: When I enter the gnome settings with my touchscreen, I can navigate between sections no problem, i can turn switches without a problem, but if I try and click on anything that has a drop down, all of my "taps" stop registering until I close the window.

This also forces my normal touchpad to stop registering in the app as well until I alt-f4

Can anyone replicate this issue?

Thanks

Re: Touchscreen dropdowns in Gnome Settings makes buttons stop working

i just tested this and i have the same issue like you, even the mouse does nothing after tapping a drop-down menu in gnome-control-center, in other windows it does work.
just to give you some peace of mind, this is not specific to your ROG Flow, i have a ThinkPad. you probably have to file a bug with freedesktop

Re: Touchscreen dropdowns in Gnome Settings makes buttons stop working

This is probably upstream bug mutter#1523. I was able to fix the bug by applying two WIP merge requests. See my comment at mutter#1523/note_1952482 for details. The two MRs are mutter!2946 and gtk!5782.
