Minimizing Disk Space Usage Under Arch Linux

Arch Linux takes up a bit more disk space than my Debian Stable and Debian Unstable installs. I decided to do a bit of research today about ways to minimize disk space usage under Arch Linux. I currently use the paccache-hook script, but that isn't enough for me. I came across a post on the CopyProgramming site that provides tips on minimizing disk usage on Arch Linux. I wanted to get input from those more experienced than I using Arch Linux on the tips provided.

Use Alpine Linux instead.
