Okular taking long to save comments on PDF

Hi everyone,

I have used okular for a long time to add comments to PDF files.

Recently, whenever I save some modifications to a PDF file, a "Copying" window is opened and shows progress of copying the file from /tmp to the original location. The problem is that this process takes a considerable time (4-5 seconds).

I also noticed that if I open the same file in another okular window, it does not track the modifications I make in the first window, which is not the default behavior.

I think I made some misconfiguration by mistake but I can't find it. I tried to purge the okular package, remove the config files and reinstall it, but that didn't solve the problem. I have other computer with a similar installation and it is working fine there.

I would appreciate if you could help. I'm using version 23.08.4.
