No sound on MacbookPro14,1

Hello, I've tried dozen of ways from internet on how to make audio work. I've tried pulseaudio and pipewire. I tried pulseaudio by doing this

pacman -S alsa-utils pulseaudio

and

echo "options snd-hda-intel index=1,0 power_save=1" | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/snd_hda_intel.conf

but nothing works. Now I use pipewire, and still the same.

Here are some info that may help to find the problem. I ran it when an audio is playing

Remove the modprobe config and reboot and post

sudo dmesg | grep -iE 'snd|sof'

. In none of these outputs you have a Analog device which is what you would need. Generally speaking Apple audio is notoriously hard to get working or running so you might generally be SoL here. You could give https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/snd- … o-dkms-git a shot which should contain some mac fixups

it doesn't work removed /etc/modprobe.d and installed that snd-hda still doesn't work. pavucontrol still shows built-in audio pro like screenshot before. here's the command you asked me:

Did you reboot after installing it and did it actually install, i.e. it's a dkms module so you need linux-headers installed so it can be built. What do you get from

dkms status
aplay -lL
