Hello, all!
I've got a difficult problem, and I'll likely need to resort to messing with the hardware.
I've followed the Arch Installation Guide, and completed it. After the installation, when I was using GRUB as a bootloader, issues began.
First, there's no HDMI output. The HDMI cables and ports have been checked.
This issue stops me from using tty, so I am unable to check the issue through CLI tools.
I would like to try going to either GRUB or UEFI, but it seems as though Arch is somehow booting, as entering
rebootseems to turn of the CPU fans on and off.
I'm unable to give system information from commands, as I can't see the outputs, but I can give the hardware specs if asked.

What?
Is the HDMI the only available output?
Can you still boot a GUI session (and open a terminal there and enter all sorts of CLI commands there)?
Do you still see the GRUB bootloader menu?
Can you still see/enter the UEFI?
What's the second problem?

How can you not get into GRUB? Arch on it's own would not be able to boot without passing GRUB and if you don't have display during GRUB then you technically have a BIOS/firmware issue. Is this a laptop/the HDMI not the primary output?
Assuming Arch does technically boot, you can also boot the live disk and chroot into your installation and then post the output of
journalctl -bhttps://wiki.archlinux.org/title/List_o … n_services
FFFFFFFF5 strikes again...

I have just tried out DirectPort, to the same result. There is "no signal."

I cannot. It sounds like I can still enter CLI commands, like I said, but I can't see any graphics or text. The CPU's fans turn on and off whenever I do 'reboot' or 'Ctrl + Alt + Del,' which is why I'm assuming it booted, at least.
Do you still see the GRUB bootloader menu?
I do not.

Sadly, no. I've tried removing my SSD and LiveUSB, in order to force UEFI to start... It seemed to simply not work?

Apologies, I made it sound like I didn't manage to start GRUB.
I did pass through GRUB and booted (albeit with some difficulties). It did display GRUB at the time.

The same issue occurs, in that there is no signal detected. This applies for both HDMI and DisplayPort.

How? Cause this eerily sounds like a hardware issue. You've no signal *at all* from the HDMI output, at no point. Not for the firmware, grub or the OS.
The thing is btw. called "DisplayPort".
Is this a notebook?
If not I'd take a look at the assemby and notably the GPU seating/power connection.

Is this a notebook?
It's a desktop. I'm not sure what you mean by assembly? The entire computer as a whole?
I have just reseated the GPU, to no avail.
I'll also check whether the monitor developed an issue with a spare device.

The entire computer as a whole?
Yes. Do you also have a spare GPU?
