Cirrus Logic?

I've got an old machine with a Cirrus video chipset. I'd like to use the Cirrus driver for it (to get a little more performance than VESA, hopefully), but it seems to be either buggy or misconfigured. Portions of the screen turn yellow. The man page, unfortunately, is empty.

Does anyone know where I can find docs for this? My searches do nothing.
