Gnome Keyboard Indicator Problem...

Hi,
I have installed gnome on my laptop and the gnome keyboard indicator to change between usa and greece in languages. I have se the combination alt-shift and everything works when pressing alt-shift the change happens and I can switch between greek and english to write.
The problem is that the indicator constantly shows USA on the gnome panel and does not follow the switching as it is supposed to.
Is it a bug or something?

what Gnome version do you have?
AFAIK in 2.16.1 it doesn't work at all.

I am using the latest version (not from TESTING). Yesterady was my last pacman -Syu.
It is probably a bug I think, a very annoying one...
Is there a solution to this problem?

AFAIK you are the only one that has gnome-keyboard-applet at least starting.
It's a bug in this applet. AFAIK there's no patch in Internet yet.

My keyboard applet starts up nice, I can add additional languages and custom group change key combinations, but whenever I press them, nothing seems to change. Writing something down appears to work for all added languages (Greek, in this case), so my only problem is that I don't get visual feedback for the selected language.

Annoying, but workable. 'Seems I'm lucky.

FFS... so it was a bug... And thought xorg.conf was the problem...

Just did an pacman -Syu yesterday and many gnome-* packages where updated. The problem with the keyboard indicator remains.

Gnome 2.16.2 is out.
This bug is fixed!

- Fixed keyboard indicator segfault (Sergey UDaltsov) (351395)

To devs: please update Gnome packages ASAP.

Same for me, i updated gnome but the applet crashes (it used to run without showing the real language).

uploaded gnome-applets 2.16.2 with a patch which checks for a NULL value, i am not sure if it fixes it for ya.But it is worth a shot
