I have an Asus FA617XT (AMD 7940HS & Radeon 7700S) that is unable to resume from sleep or hibernate, I have tried following the guide on asus-linux.org for arch and I am still running into the same issue. When i try to wake it from sleep the power button lights up but the screen and backlit keyboard remain dark. I am forced to hold down the power button and then start it in order to use it. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

I have ever owned the laptop, but I returned it also because of the suspend issue that you encountered.
I found a discussion in reddit:

They said that downgrading the UEFI firmware to v307 or v309 may works.
Maybe you can try that.
The UEFI firmwares can be downloaded here.

Be aware that the newer UEFI firmwares may be automatically updated by Windows Update.

Thank you so much for the help! That seemed to do the trick. I downgraded from 313 to 309 and it is now waking from sleep as expected.
