I have a external monitor plugged into the laptop, and I am using it as the main display (laptop as secondary). I updated my laptop a few days ago, and since then the laptop display has been showing a half black half rainbow LSD effect. I've tried to revert linux versions, with no effect. I don't believe it's a hardware issue, as GRUB looks fine. On the other hand, I cannot seem to find any issues that could cause it when is use sudo journalctl -p 3 -xb

Posting this question on other forums, there is at least one other person who has the same issue that I am having (down to the effect on the laptop display). Is there a fix that I am missing, or is there a bug in one of the packages?

Please use

tags. Edit your post in this regard.
Then don't filter for random stuff and GOOD GOD! plese never use "-x" with the journal! (It's spam. Also don't use "-r", it's equivalent to top-posting)
Please post your complete system journal for the boot:
sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.st
Do you see the artifacts on a multi-user login (2nd link below) or only in your GUI?
Please post your Xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General
