Hey,
i just started getting into linux and all that stuff last year, and wasn't worrying to much about safety when setting up my system. I haven't modified or used it for quite some time now, but when booted my environment today, I recognized something weird. I'm using hyprland extended by hyprpaper to modify my background picture. The hyprpaper config just points to the file of the jpg, but today i saw that a phrase on the bottom of the screen apperead. It say's "Your brain gets smarter, but your head get's dumber." Just like the meme, whoow. Im kinda worried lol, Have any of you ever seen something like this, or do know where it comes from? I can't find that phrase in any of my files, neither did the background picture change. I don't have anything important or highly critical on that system, but i'd still really like to know where thats coming from. Thanks for any input
Please don't slander, everyone started their journey at some point, and I know i'll have to improve, especially regarding system safety.

Edit: I just recognized something else, which is quite off: In my home directory, there is a file called '^'$'\244''I'$'\004' which i didn't create either......

The Hyprland devs think that sort of thing is funny, apparently: https://www.reddit.com/r/hyprland/comme … een_comes/

Until recently, one just could disable it in the hyprland.conf but I have noticed recently that the sentence is added by hyprpaper so that I had to add
splash = falsein ~/.config/hypr/hyprpaper.conf
