[Solved] Darktable hangs during launch, window never opens

The problem was caused by an OpenCL conflict, same as described in https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=284543.  Darktable simply hung at the moment of launch and no window ever appeared.  It would only open fully with OpenCL disabled.  Resolution was to remove intel-oneapi-compiler-shared-opencl-cpu, which left only opencl-mesa installed.  FYI, clinfo also hung.

Running `sudo pacman -Rs intel-oneapi-compiler-shared-opencl-cpu` solved it for me. I had the same problem.

Re: [Solved] Darktable hangs during launch, window never opens

I see it is specific to AMD systems. But this same scenario happens on my intel machine as well. I do not have any of the packages mentioned above.

jello@CC >pacman -Qs intel ~
local/intel-gmmlib 22.3.17-1
    Intel Graphics Memory Management Library
local/intel-media-driver 24.1.1-1
Intel Media Driver for VAAPI — Broadwell+ iGPUs
local/intel-ucode 20231114-1
Microcode update files for Intel CPUs
local/libvpl 2.10.1-1
    Intel Video Processing Library
local/onetbb 2021.11.0-1
High level abstract threading library (oneAPI Threading Building Blocks)

What packages should I install? I have tried

intel-oneapi-basekit

package. It changed nothing.
