Hi
I've got a new laptop with a dual set of graphics cards.
After messing around with prime offloading - intel > nvidia; I was able to get most of my steam games working, however a few did not. I also noticed that I got some weird horizontal lines/black windows when trying to use integrated graphics
After lots of messing around, I've settled on using envycontrol to set my card to nvidia.
Everything works nicely when I set to nvidia; however I would like to use integrated the vast majority of the time and save battery (hopefully)
When switching to integrated; I still get the weird black windows/non updating windows/lines on windows. I followed the arch wiki on installing the required packages. Am I missing something?

Is xf86-video-intel installed ?
If yes, remove it (your system is about a decade too new for that driver)
If xf86-video-intel is not installed
X or wayland ?
How are you starting the GUI ?
What is you WM/DE/wayland compositor ?
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky

Thanks
Removing xf86-video-intel fixed the problem. I basically installed everything archwiki had on there
It started behaving itself perfectly

You didn't see the blue note in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Intel_ … stallation ?
Please always remember to mark resolved threads by editing your initial posts subject - so others will know that there's no task left, but maybe a solution to find.
Thanks.
