Wine and Wine-Staging

Hi,

sorry for this dumb question, I am using Wine-Staging for quite some time and am wondering why the regular Wine is more updated than the Staging version.
I always thought the Staging package is the one which is more up to date therefore updated more frequently.

Was I wrong?

Just because the maintainer hasn't updated it yet.

You were probably thinking of wine-stable vs wine-devel. Stable is updated once a year (not counting minor patches), and devel is updated every 2 weeks.
Staging is yet another thing – it's a set of additional patches to be applied on top of devel. It's released upstream usually within a day of the corresponding devel release.
